PATTAYA-The Pattaya court in Thailand has passed sentence in the murder case of Ir. Jules Odekerken from Vught. Jules Odekerken was murdered on 17 November 2003 in front of his house in Pattaya. The brother of his wife Marisa (Seksan Prommana) and her lover (Anupong Sutthani) have been found guilty by the court. Seksan Prommana, who has been held in custody for some time, has been sentenced to imprisonment for life. The fugitive Anupong Sutthani has been sentenced to death. A new warrant has been issued for his arrest.

 

From the evidence made by several witnesses it becomes clear that Marisa was also involved in this murder case. She has not yet been considered a suspect so far, but this will possibly be the case later on.

 

The Odekerken family is pleased with the developments connected with the trial and the fact that justice has been done in Thailand.

The family would like to thank the members of the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague and those of the Dutch Embassy in Bangkok and all other people involved for their support and dedication.
